WHY STUDYPUG

Improve Your Child's Math Grades

Content That Matches the School

Many practice programs use content that doesn't align with BC schools — different currency, different measurements, different math sequence. Your child practices hard but the content doesn't match what they're tested on.

Sync practices the BC provincial curriculum: Canadian dollars, metric system, BC teaching sequence. What they practice is what they're tested on.

Structured 30-Minute Sessions

Each session: Practice (15 min) → Grading (5-10 min) → Corrections (5-10 min). This isn't tutoring — it's structured practice for concepts your child already understands but needs repetition to master.

Small groups (8:1), twice per week, building consistent habits.

Monthly Progress Reports — You'll See the Difference

Your account manager sends a monthly report: packages completed, accuracy rates, specific skills practised.

Quarterly parent meetings for deeper discussion. No guessing — you see the progress.

What "Sync" Means

"Sync" means aligned with the BC curriculum framework — the provincial learning standards. We don't sync with your child's specific classroom schedule. If their teacher is on Chapter 5, we may be practicing a different chapter. But everything we practice is part of what BC requires students to learn. Both Math and English start from Package 1 for the grade level, ensuring a solid foundation. Fast learners will advance quickly — and if a child hits a wall, it means we've caught a knowledge gap early.

Sync + StudyPug.com = A Complete Learning System

Every Sync student receives a free StudyPug.com subscription. Stuck on homework at 9pm? Watch a StudyPug video to understand the concept. Come to Sync class? Practice until it's automatic. The videos teach. Sync drills.

FREQUENTLY ASKED

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How is this different from regular tutoring?
Tutoring is when a teacher explains concepts your child doesn't understand. Sync is structured practice — your child already understands the concept, they just need repetition to master it. Think of tutoring as the coach explaining the play, and Sync as drilling until it becomes muscle memory.
How is this different from other practice programs?
The structure is similar — regular practice sessions that build strong habits. The key difference is what gets practiced. Many practice programs use materials with different currencies, units of measurement, and teaching sequences than BC schools. Sync content is aligned with BC schools. It also includes a free StudyPug.com subscription and a monthly skill breakdown report.
Will my child be tested before starting?
Both Math and English start from Package 1 for the grade level, ensuring a solid foundation. If your child moves through it quickly — great, they'll advance fast. If they hit a wall, it means we've caught a knowledge gap early.
How will I know if my child is improving?
Your Client Manager sends a monthly progress report covering what was completed, accuracy rates, and the specific skills practiced. There is also a quarterly parent meeting.
Is this online or in-person?
In-person only — at our Cedarbridge classroom in Richmond. Need online practice support? We have a Homework Club for that.
How many times per week should my child attend?
We recommend twice a week per subject. Once a week is the minimum frequency needed to see meaningful progress.
What advantages does Sync have over other practice programs?
The biggest difference is the content. Sync materials are aligned with what BC schools actually teach — something most practice programs cannot offer. At $229/month, it also includes a free StudyPug.com subscription (a $15/month value) and a monthly skill breakdown progress report.
