The group has been teaching English courses since 2001. Over those years we helped a growing number of school-age students build a study habit and lift their English, and we heard from more and more adults who needed English for work and for immigration. To help adults who wanted stronger English and a score on the immigration English exams, on CELPIP and IELTS, and on the CLB scale, the group's CELPIP training brand, CELPIP Test Prep, its IELTS training brand, StudyPug Learning IELTS, and its CAEL training brand, StudyPug Learning CAEL, were founded one after another.
An official CELPIP member with CELPIP partner support, the first school in Canada to teach the exam, and the first to build CELPIP online classes and a service system around the official CELPIP scoring criteria. As a CELPIP training school we have taken students through our own CELPIP online courses, CELPIP strategy work and CELPIP practice sets drilling, and nearly 10,000 of them have reached the score they were after. Our officially supported, certified instructor team draws on years of CELPIP teaching, our online class system and technology, and the group's reach, to take more students the same way.
To cover the different immigration and study-abroad exams students needed, the group built a larger and more specialist English teaching team. Led by instructors with IELTS examiner experience, the IELTS training team designed our IELTS and IELTS General top-score courses. Students who need Academic or IELTS General preparation work through graded online courses, technique training and question drilling, and get the IELTS band that takes them into study abroad or immigration.
StudyPug Learning CAEL gave students planning to study in Canada more choice of English exam and more preparation options.
