Why OSSD is the strongest route into a top North American university

OSSD lets a student apply to Canadian universities as an Ontario high school student, not as one more name in the international pool.
(The advantage is structural: Ontario's public universities hold places for the province's own taxpayers.)
Ontario universities give more than half their offers to Ontario high school students.
Ontario's leading universities include:
University of TorontoCanada's best university, ranked 21st in the world
Queen's UniversityCanada's Princeton
University of WaterlooCanada's MIT
OSSD stands for the Ontario Secondary School Diploma, the high school diploma awarded by the province of Ontario. It is also called the Ontario high school graduation diploma.
The universities families care about most sit in the United States, Canada, the UK, Australia, Singapore and Hong Kong. A domestic transcript and a national entrance exam result carry almost no weight with them. OSSD lets a student apply to those universities as a local Ontario student, with a lower bar, less friction and a higher success rate:
Ontario recognises junior and senior high school results from China, and core courses convert directly into OSSD credits. Up to 24 credits transfer, leaving 6 credits to complete for the Ontario diploma.
Not every university abroad accepts a national entrance exam result. OSSD is accepted by 100% of leading universities in Canada, the US, the UK and Australia, and a student applies on the six strongest Grade 12 OSSD marks.
Our OSSD Program is a high school programme designed and supervised by Ontario's Ministry of Education: Canadian at the root, built for students applying from abroad.
A Concordia group partner and a Canadian school board partner. The StudyPug platform has served a million students and is adopted by local Canadian school boards, and StudyPug Learning brings 25 years of course tutoring and application planning: the highest-rated tutoring group in North America, the fastest gains, the most satisfied students.
Concordia is the specialist most able to get a student to their academic goal. Founded more than 20 years ago, it has more than 30,000 graduates, works with over 60 universities worldwide and partners deeply with more than 40 of them on accelerated routes.
We run guaranteed-offer programmes for Canada, the UK and the US, and stay with the student to the university they want. Each programme covers high school credit courses, extracurriculars, after-class tutoring, academic planning and the university application itself.
Every OSSD student's progression plan comes from the school counsellor, who reviews and adjusts it as the student develops. Parents get regular feedback and see each stage assessment, so the progress is easy to follow.
Five assessments covering personality, learning style, interests and motivation.
Working from those results, we recommend universities, majors and career directions that fit the student.
We find placements and service opportunities that match the plan, so the student meets their field before university does.
Exam coaching for AP courses, so students earn credit recognised by universities worldwide while still in high school.
Coaching for the SAT and ACT, and for IELTS and TOEFL, so a standardised test stops being the obstacle.
Credit-bearing summer programmes at universities including the University of Toronto and Columbia, which strengthen a university application.
