- Hi, welcome to this question right here. So, wow! We've got two different numbers here. They both have x, right? So, remember, before you do anything, you're supposed to do something that's called factor, there's nothing we can factor here but, collecting the like terms, okay? 
So, I see there's an x over here and an x over here. They both have x, they're both the like terms, you need to put them together. Now, you have two choices. You can either bring this guy over here, or we can bring this guy over here. My suggestion is take the higher negative, bring it over to the other side. And why is that? Because it will become positive, okay? Because you will end up by a positive 3.7 subtract a 3.4. So, you want to end up. . . You will end up with a positive number. So, let's give it a try. Let's do it the regular way. Let's add a 3.7x to the both sides of the equation, okay? So, that cancels this guy right here. So, you end up with 3.7x minus the 3.4x is equal to the 6.3 now, okay? 
So, what happens is you can now collect the like terms. That 3.7, that 3.4, they're both subtracting each other and they're both x and x. So, since you're doing the like terms, what we're going to do is, we're just gonna subtract them. So, 3.7 minus 3.4, what you have is 0.3x equals to the 6.3. To solve the x in this question here, if you do the regular way, you would divide both sides by a 0.3, okay? That cancels that, you're left with just x equals to 6.3 divided by .3 is just 21.
