- Hi, welcome to this question right here. So we're trying to write the following ratios using the ratio notation in the lowest term. So we've got a five kilometer in 30 minutes. So what we do it is, let's have a kilometer on this side, and the ratio notation is basically like two dots, like a semicolon, and it's for every minute here. So if you read the question right here, we have five kilometers and corresponded to 30 minutes. So that's the ratio, for every five kilometers, you have 30 minutes and the way you need to do it is, you need to re-write this in terms of the lowest term. The lowest term, you just have to figure it out, the common factor for these two guys so find 30. You can divide both by five so you can divide this by five and get yourself a one, and you show the work so if you take this, divide it by five, you get yourself a one right here. And if you take this one here, divide it by five as well, you get yourself the six. So, this is the final for this question, basically says instead of a five kilometer for every 30 minutes, you now reduce it down to, for every kilometer you have six minutes for that.
