Make Smart Money Choices - Save or Spend Wisely!
You will learn how to make good choices with your money by deciding when to save it and when to spend it on things you need or want.
Introduction
You make choices with money every day! When you get coins or dollars, you can choose to save them or spend them. Importance of Saving helps you understand why keeping money is smart. Learning to make good money choices helps you get things you really want.
What Does It Mean to Save and Spend?
When you save money, you keep it in a safe place like a piggy bank or jar. You don't buy anything right away. When you spend money, you use it to buy something you want or need right now.
Saving helps you collect more money over time. Spending gives you something fun or useful today. Both choices can be good when you think carefully!
Making Smart Money Choices
Before you buy anything, count your money first. If a toy costs three coins and you have five coins, you have enough! If the toy costs six coins but you only have four, you need to save more money first.
Think about what you really need versus what you want. Basic Needs are things you must have, while Personal Wants are things that would be nice to have. This helps you make the best choice with your money.
