Introduction
You have a special group of people who love you and take care of you every day. These people are your family members! You will learn about different family members and discover how they help each other. Your family is made up of people who live with you and care for you in your home.
Who Are Your Family Members?
You have many different people in your family. Your mom and dad are your parents who take care of you. You might have a sister or brother who plays with you. Your grandma and grandpa love you and tell you stories.
Some families have aunts and uncles too. Your uncle might be your dad's brother who brings you books. Your aunt might help you with fun activities. All these people are part of your special family group.

Family: The special people who live with you and love you every day, like your mom, dad, and siblings.
Parents: Your mom and dad who take care of you and help you grow.
Sister: A girl in your family who has the same parents as you.
Brother: A boy in your family who has the same parents as you.
Grandmother/Grandma: Your mom's mom or your dad's mom who loves you and often bakes treats or tells stories.
Grandfather/Grandpa: Your mom's dad or your dad's dad who plays games with you and takes you on adventures.
Uncle: Your mom's brother or your dad's brother who might bring you gifts and help your family.
Aunt: Your mom's sister or your dad's sister who helps take care of you and plays with you.
How Family Members Help Each Other
Your family members have special jobs to help each other. You can help set the table for dinner with your parents. Your big brother might teach you how to ride a bike. Your grandpa might make you pancakes for breakfast.
You can help take care of your baby sister by making her smile. Your family works together like a team. Everyone helps make your home a happy and safe place to live.

You can draw pictures of your family members to show who lives in your house. You can help your family by setting the table or feeding pets. You might go on picnics with your Family Traditions and learn about special things your family does together.
