Discover What You Need to Live and Stay Healthy Every Day

You will learn about basic needs like food, water, shelter, and clothing that every person must have to live and be healthy.

Introduction

You need certain things to live and stay healthy every day. These special things are called basic needs. Your body must have these things to grow big and strong. When you understand basic needs, you can make good choices about what is most important for you and your family.

What Are Basic Needs?

Basic needs are things your body must have to live. You cannot be healthy without these important things. There are four main basic needs that every person must have.

Food gives your body energy to play and learn. Water keeps your body working well. Shelter protects you from hot sun, cold weather, and rain. Clothing keeps your body warm and safe.

Why Your Body Needs These Things

Your body is like a special machine that needs the right things to work well. Food helps you grow taller and stronger every day. Water helps your body stay cool and clean inside.

Shelter like your house keeps you safe when it storms outside. Clothes protect your skin and keep you comfortable. Without these basic needs, your body cannot stay healthy and happy.

Basic Needs vs Wants
