Books need two important people to make them complete. The author writes all the words you read. The illustrator draws all the pictures you see.
You can find both names on the front cover or first page. When you know their names, you can thank them for making your favorite stories!

Finding the Author's Name
The author writes all the story words you love to read. You can find the author's name on the front cover of your book.
When you see the author's name, you know who created the story about dolphins, butterflies, or any animals you enjoy reading about!
Finding the Illustrator's Name
The illustrator draws all the colorful pictures in your books. Look for the illustrator's name on the cover or first page too.
