Learn to Share Your Opinions with Good Reasons

You will learn how to share your opinions and give good reasons to support what you think.

Introduction

You will learn how to share your opinions and give good reasons to support what you think. When you state an opinion, you tell others what you believe or feel about something. Supporting your opinion means giving reasons that explain why you think that way.

What Are Opinions?

An opinion is what you think or feel about something. You might think pizza is the best food or that winter is the most fun season. These are your personal thoughts and feelings.

When you share an opinion, you can make it stronger by giving reasons. For example, you might say "I think dogs are the best pets because they are friendly and fun to play with."

How to Support Your Opinions

Supporting your opinion means giving reasons that explain your thinking. You can support your opinions by telling others why you feel that way.

If you think summer is the best season, you might say "because I can swim and play outside." This gives others a reason to understand your thinking.
