Flip (Reflection)
A flip mirrors a shape across a line. If you imagine a line drawn on the page and folded like a mirror, the flipped shape lands exactly opposite to where it started, facing the reverse direction.
The two triangles are the same size and shape, but the second one faces the opposite direction, like a reflection in glass.
Turn (Rotation)
A turn spins a shape around a fixed point. The amount of spin can be a small turn or a much bigger one, but the shape's size never changes, only its facing direction as it rotates around that point.

If the shape simply moved to a new spot without spinning or mirroring, that is a slide.
