About 1st Grade Kentucky math

Kentucky follows the Kentucky Academic Standards (KAS) for Mathematics, organized around operations and algebraic thinking, number and operations in base ten, measurement and data, and geometry. In 1st grade, students build fluency with addition and subtraction within 20, develop place value understanding for two-digit numbers, measure lengths, tell time to the hour and half-hour, and work with 2D and 3D shapes.
