About 4th Grade Georgia math
Georgia follows Georgia's K-12 Mathematics Standards, organized around operations, fractions, measurement, and geometry. In 4th grade, students work on multiplicative comparison, multi-digit whole number operations, fraction equivalence and addition, decimal notation, measurement conversions, angle measurement, and classifying two-dimensional figures. StudyPug provides video lessons and practice problems aligned to every strand of this course.
- Strands: operations and algebraic thinking, number and operations in base ten, fractions, measurement and data, and geometry
- Video lessons for every 4th grade Georgia math topic
- Practice problems and step-by-step explanations for each concept
- Aligned to Georgia's K-12 Mathematics Standards for Grade 4

Georgia 4th Grade Math Topics
- Operations and Algebraic Thinking: Interpreting multiplication as a comparison, solving multiplicative comparison word problems, solving multistep word problems using all four operations, finding factor pairs, and generating number and shape patterns.
- Number and Operations in Base Ten: Understanding place value relationships in multi-digit numbers, reading and writing numbers in expanded form, rounding to any place, fluently adding and subtracting multi-digit whole numbers, multiplying up to four-digit numbers by a one-digit number and two two-digit numbers, and finding whole-number quotients and remainders.
- Number and Operations - Fractions: Explaining fraction equivalence, comparing fractions with different numerators and denominators, understanding fractions as sums of unit fractions, multiplying a fraction by a whole number, and using decimal notation for fractions with denominators 10 and 100.
- Measurement and Data: Understanding relative sizes of measurement units, solving word problems involving distance, time, volume, mass, and money, applying area and perimeter formulas for rectangles, and making line plots with fractional measurements.
- Geometry: Recognizing and measuring angles with a protractor, understanding angle measure as additive, drawing geometric figures including parallel and perpendicular lines, classifying two-dimensional figures, and identifying lines of symmetry.
How StudyPug Helps Georgia 4th Grade Math Students
When a student gets stuck on a concept like fraction equivalence or multi-digit division, StudyPug lets them go back to exactly the lesson they need. Each topic has a focused video lesson followed by practice problems with step-by-step explanations, so students can work through Georgia 4th grade math at their own pace. You can explore all topics when you study 4 class on StudyPug.
For students who want to check their understanding before a test, StudyPug also provides grade 4 math questions based on real Georgia Milestones-style content, covering every strand from operations to geometry.
Aligned to Georgia 4th Grade Math Curriculum
Every lesson and practice problem on StudyPug is built around Georgia's K-12 Mathematics Standards for Grade 4. The content follows the same strands and sequence that Georgia classrooms use, so students reinforce exactly what their teacher is covering. If you want to see how the progression builds from the prior year, the GA Grade 3 math curriculum page shows the foundation your child brought into 4th grade.
