<p>- Hi. So we&apos;ve got a question and a situation here. Leo only used 42 minutes to finish a one hour test. We're trying to use the percentage to represent the test time that he used to finish the test. So we know that the test time that he took was 42 minutes, okay? That's how much time he used up, but it's a one hour test. He was give the one hour to finish it but he only used up 42 minutes. So what we do is we divide it by the total the number of hours, actually, the time that was given which is one hour. But, unfortunately, you cannot compare minute to hours. So what we need to do is we take the hour on the top and we need to times it by 60 minutes in every one hour, okay? This is like a little conversion thing. Maybe most of us actually already knew that every hour has 60 minutes but if you really have to show your work this is the work you have to show. One hour times 60 minutes over one hour. The one hours cancel. So you get yourself 60 minutes, okay?<br />
So what that means is instead of saying 42 minutes divided by one hour we're going to put down 42 minutes divided by 60 minutes, but it's not a unit that we really care. It's actually the number that we care, all right?<br />
We're trying to show that as a percentage. So what that means is we have to take the 42 divided by 60. So I go 42 divided by 60. I get myself a 0.7. Now to change my decimal form into a percentage I will need to times by 100%. That way I will turn that 0.7 into a percent. My final answer would be just 0.7 times 100. So it turns out to be 70.0 or just 70% would be the answer for this question, okay? And that's it for this one. Thanks for watching.</p>
