- Reasoning with expressions and polynomials: Interpreting and rewriting expressions, adding, subtracting, and multiplying polynomials, identifying zeros through factorization, and working with rational exponents and radicals.
- Linear and exponential functions: Understanding function notation and domain and range, graphing and comparing linear and exponential functions, building arithmetic and geometric sequences, analyzing transformations, and modeling with linear and exponential relationships.
- Quadratic functions and equations: Solving quadratic equations in one variable, solving systems of a linear and a quadratic equation, and rewriting quadratic expressions to reveal key properties.
- Statistics and data analysis: Representing data with dot plots, histograms, and box plots; comparing center and spread; interpreting scatter plots; using linear models; computing and interpreting correlation coefficients; and distinguishing correlation from causation.
