About High School Rhode Island English

Rhode Island follows the Rhode Island Standards for English Language Arts, which organize learning around reading, writing, speaking and listening, and language. In 12th grade, students work on analyzing complex literary and informational texts, producing polished argumentative and research-based writing, and refining language and communication skills for college and career readiness.
