About 5th Grade Pennsylvania math

- Number and Operations - Fractions: Adding and subtracting fractions with unlike denominators including mixed numbers; solving fraction word problems; interpreting fractions as division; multiplying fractions and whole numbers by fractions; understanding multiplication as scaling; dividing unit fractions by whole numbers and whole numbers by unit fractions.
- Measurement and Data: Converting measurement units within a system; creating line plots with fractional measurements; understanding and measuring volume using unit cubes; relating volume to multiplication and addition.
- Geometry: Using a coordinate system with perpendicular number lines; graphing points in the first quadrant and interpreting coordinate values; classifying two-dimensional figures by their properties in a hierarchy.
