OR 4th Grade Math Curriculum
Give your child the support they need in 4th grade math. Our lessons and practice problems follow what Oregon schools teach, from multiplication and fractions to geometry and measurement.
About 4th Grade Oregon math
Oregon follows the Oregon Standards for Mathematics, which build skills across number sense, operations, fractions, measurement, data, and geometry. In 4th grade, students work on multiplicative comparisons, multi-digit whole number operations, fraction equivalence and addition, decimal notation, measurement conversions, area and perimeter, and classifying two-dimensional figures. StudyPug provides video lessons and step-by-step practice problems aligned to each of these strands.
- Strands: Operations and Algebraic Thinking, Number and Operations in Base Ten, Number and Operations - Fractions, Measurement and Data, and Geometry
- Video lessons covering every 4th grade Oregon math topic
- Practice problems and worked examples for each concept
- Content aligned to the Oregon Standards for Mathematics

Oregon 4th Grade Math Topics
- Operations and Algebraic Thinking: Interpreting multiplication as a comparison, solving multiplicative comparison word problems, tackling multistep word problems with all four operations, finding factor pairs, and generating number and shape patterns.
- Number and Operations in Base Ten: Understanding place value relationships in multi-digit numbers, reading and writing numbers in expanded form, rounding, fluently adding and subtracting multi-digit whole numbers, multiplying up to four-digit numbers by a one-digit number and two two-digit numbers, and dividing with up to four-digit dividends.
- Number and Operations - Fractions: Explaining fraction equivalence, comparing fractions with unlike numerators and denominators, understanding fractions as sums of unit fractions, multiplying a fraction by a whole number, expressing fractions with denominators of 10 as hundredths, using decimal notation, and comparing decimals to hundredths.
- Measurement and Data: Understanding relative sizes of measurement units, solving word problems involving distance, time, volume, mass, and money, applying area and perimeter formulas, and making line plots with fractional measurements.
- Geometry: Recognizing and measuring angles with a protractor, understanding angle measure as additive, drawing points, lines, line segments, rays, and various angle types, classifying two-dimensional figures by their properties, and identifying lines of symmetry.
How StudyPug Helps Oregon 4th Grade Math Students
When a student gets stuck on a concept like fraction equivalence or long division, StudyPug lets them go back to the exact lesson they need, watch a clear explanation, and then work through grade 4 math questions until the idea clicks. Every lesson is tied to what Oregon classrooms are covering, so nothing feels out of place.
Parents can also use StudyPug to stay involved. Whether your child needs a quick refresher before a test or wants to study 4 class material at their own pace, the platform makes it easy to find the right lesson and move forward with confidence.
