About High School Nevada Algebra II

- Polynomial and Rational Expressions: Polynomial arithmetic, the Remainder Theorem, zeros of polynomials, the Binomial Theorem, and operations on rational expressions including solving rational and radical equations.
- Exponential and Logarithmic Functions: Comparing exponential and linear growth, constructing exponential models, logarithms as inverses of exponents, and solving exponential equations using logarithms.
- Trigonometry: Radian measure, the unit circle, special triangle values, graphs of trigonometric functions, inverse trigonometric functions, the Pythagorean identity, addition and subtraction formulas, the Laws of Sines and Cosines, and area of a triangle.
- Complex Numbers: The number i, arithmetic with complex numbers, conjugates, the complex plane in rectangular and polar form, and the Fundamental Theorem of Algebra.
- Matrices: Matrix operations, scalar multiplication, matrix equations for systems of linear equations, inverse matrices, and matrix representations of data.
- Conic Sections: Deriving equations of parabolas given focus and directrix, and equations of ellipses and hyperbolas given foci.
- Statistics and Probability: Normal distributions, two-way frequency tables, independent events, conditional probability, permutations, and combinations.
