About High School New Jersey English
New Jersey follows the NJ Student Learning Standards (NJSLS) for English Language Arts, organized around reading literature, reading informational texts, writing, speaking and listening, and language and grammar. In 10th grade, students analyze complex literary and nonfiction texts, develop argumentative and explanatory writing, and refine grammar and vocabulary.
