  • Limits and continuity: understanding limits graphically and numerically, evaluating limits using substitution, determining continuity at a point, identifying types of discontinuities, and finding limits at infinity to describe end behavior.
  • Derivatives and differentiation rules: the derivative as rate of change and slope of a tangent line, power rule, product rule, quotient rule, chain rule, and derivatives of trigonometric, exponential, and logarithmic functions, including implicit differentiation.
  • Applications of derivatives: equations of tangent lines and linear approximation, critical points, local maxima and minima, optimization problems, curve sketching using increasing/decreasing behavior and concavity, related rates, and applications to velocity and acceleration.
