MS High School AP Calculus Curriculum
Give your high schooler the support they need to succeed in AP Calculus. Our lessons follow what Mississippi students learn in class, from limits and derivatives to integrals and real-world applications.
About High School Mississippi AP Calculus
Mississippi high school students follow the Mississippi College- and Career-Ready Standards alongside College Board AP Calculus guidelines, organized around limits, derivatives, and integrals. This course covers evaluating limits and continuity, applying differentiation rules including the chain rule and implicit differentiation, solving optimization and related rates problems, and using the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus to evaluate definite integrals and find area between curves. StudyPug provides video lessons and step-by-step practice problems matched to every strand in this course.
- Strands: Limits and Continuity, Derivatives and Differentiation, Applications of Derivatives, Integrals and the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus
- Video lessons explaining every concept with worked examples
- Practice problems with step-by-step solutions for each strand
- Aligned to Mississippi College- and Career-Ready Standards and College Board AP Calculus requirements

Mississippi High School AP Calculus Topics
- Limits and Continuity: Understand limits graphically and numerically, evaluate limits using substitution, determine continuity at a point, identify types of discontinuities, and find limits at infinity to describe end behavior.
- Derivatives and Differentiation: Understand the derivative as rate of change and slope of the tangent line; apply the power rule, product rule, quotient rule, and chain rule; differentiate trigonometric, exponential, and logarithmic functions; and find derivatives of implicitly defined functions.
- Applications of Derivatives: Write equations of tangent lines, use linear approximation, find critical points and local extrema, solve optimization problems, analyze increasing and decreasing behavior, examine concavity, sketch curves, and solve related rates and motion problems involving velocity and acceleration.
- Integrals and the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus: Find antiderivatives of basic functions, approximate definite integrals using left, right, and midpoint Riemann sums, apply the Fundamental Theorem of Calculus, use substitution to evaluate integrals, find area under and between curves, and calculate displacement, distance, and average value of functions over intervals.
How StudyPug Helps Mississippi High School AP Calculus Students
When a student gets stuck on a related rates problem or cannot remember how to apply the chain rule, StudyPug gives them a short, focused video lesson and a set of practice problems with step-by-step solutions they can work through at their own pace. Every strand of the Mississippi AP Calculus course is covered, so help is always one search away.
Students preparing for the College Board AP Calculus exam can use StudyPug to review individual topics, revisit integration techniques, or build confidence on optimization problems - all organized by the same strands their teacher uses in class.
Aligned to Mississippi High School AP Calculus Curriculum
All StudyPug AP Calculus content is built around the Mississippi College- and Career-Ready Standards and the College Board AP Calculus curriculum framework. Lessons follow the same sequence of topics - from limits and continuity through to integral applications - that Mississippi students encounter in their AP Calculus class, so what students practice on StudyPug directly supports what they are learning at school.
