About High School Maine Algebra 2

Maine follows the Maine Learning Results for mathematics, which organizes high school content around connected strands of algebraic reasoning and mathematical practice. Algebra 2 builds on foundational algebra to cover rational exponents and radicals, polynomial and rational expressions, functions and inverse functions, exponential and logarithmic relationships, trigonometric functions, complex numbers, matrices, conic sections, and probability and statistics. StudyPug provides video lessons and practice problems for each of these strands, aligned to what Maine classrooms teach.

  • Strands covered: rational exponents and radicals, polynomial and rational expressions, functions and inverses, exponential and logarithmic relationships, trigonometric functions and identities, complex numbers, matrices, conic sections, and probability and statistics
  • Step-by-step video lessons for every Algebra 2 topic
  • Practice problems with worked examples so students can check their understanding

How StudyPug Helps Maine High School Algebra 2 Students

When a student reaches a concept they do not understand - whether it is factoring polynomials, working with the unit circle, or interpreting a normal distribution - StudyPug lets them go straight to a focused video lesson on that exact topic. Each lesson breaks the idea into clear steps, and practice problems right after let them test what they have learned.

Parents can track progress and see which strands need more attention. Because lessons are available any time, students can review before a test or catch up after missing class without waiting for the next school day.

Aligned to Maine High School Algebra 2 Curriculum

Every StudyPug lesson for Algebra 2 is built around the Maine Learning Results for high school mathematics, so the topics, sequencing, and level of rigor match what Maine teachers cover in class. Families can trust that the content their child is working through on StudyPug is the same content that will appear on quizzes, unit tests, and end-of-course assessments.
