Senior year English in Maryland challenges students to read complex texts critically, write with precision, and communicate ideas clearly. Reading and Literary Analysis
Students analyze literary and informational texts across a range of genres, including classic and contemporary fiction, nonfiction essays, and primary source documents. Skills include identifying author's purpose, evaluating evidence, comparing perspectives, and interpreting figurative language and structure.
Writing Skills for 12th Grade
