- Operations and Algebraic Thinking: Solving one- and two-step word problems using addition and subtraction within 100, fluently adding and subtracting within 20 using mental strategies, identifying odd and even numbers up to 20, and using addition to find totals in rectangular arrays.
- Number and Operations in Base Ten: Understanding hundreds, tens, and ones in three-digit numbers; counting within 1000 and skip-counting by 5s, 10s, and 100s; reading and writing numbers to 1000 in numeral, word, and expanded form; comparing three-digit numbers; adding and subtracting within 1000; and mentally adding or subtracting 10 or 100.
- Measurement and Data: Measuring lengths with appropriate tools using inches, feet, centimeters, and meters; estimating and comparing lengths; solving word problems involving length; representing whole numbers on a number line; telling and writing time to the nearest five minutes; solving money word problems with dollars, quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies; and drawing picture graphs and bar graphs with up to four categories.
- Geometry: Recognizing and drawing shapes with specified attributes, partitioning rectangles into equal-size squares, and partitioning circles and rectangles into two, three, or four equal shares.
