About High School Hawaii Algebra 2
Hawaii schools follow the Hawaii Academic Standards for Mathematics, organized around conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, and application. Algebra 2 builds on earlier math by developing work in polynomial and rational expressions, functions and their inverses, exponential and logarithmic relationships, trigonometric functions, complex numbers, matrices, conic sections, and statistics and probability. - Exponential and Logarithmic Models: Comparing exponential and linear growth, constructing exponential functions, solving exponential equations using logarithms, and understanding the inverse relationship between exponents and logarithms.
