About 5th Grade Hawaii math
Hawaii follows the Hawaii Content Standards for mathematics, which organizes learning around number sense, operations, and geometry. - Number and Operations - Fractions: Adding and subtracting fractions with unlike denominators, solving fraction word problems, interpreting fractions as division, multiplying fractions and mixed numbers, interpreting multiplication as scaling, and dividing unit fractions by whole numbers and whole numbers by unit fractions.
