Multiplication and Division
Students in 4th grade learn to interpret multiplication equations as comparisons and solve word problems involving multiplicative comparison. They multiply whole numbers up to four digits by a one-digit number, multiply two two-digit numbers, and find whole-number quotients and remainders with up to four-digit dividends.
