Number Sense and Counting
In Grade 2, students extend their counting skills. They skip count by 2s, 5s, and 10s, count from any starting point, and identify errors in counting sequences. Place Value and Representing Numbers

Geometry: 2D and 3D Shapes
Students sort 2D and 3D shapes by two attributes and explain their sorting rules. They identify attributes of 2D shapes and 3D objects, match 2D shapes to faces of 3D objects, and create models and representations. Recognising shapes in different orientations and dimensions builds strong spatial reasoning skills.
Data and Graphs
Students formulate questions for data collection, organise data using objects, tallies, charts, and lists, and answer questions using collected data. They analyse concrete graphs and pictographs, create their own graphs, and solve problems using the information displayed.
