<h2>Who is known as the father of geometry?</h2>
<p>The honour and prestige of this title was bestowed to the one and only Euclid of Alexandria. He was an incredible Mathematician who studied at Plato&apos;s Academy in Greece and the first to study Geometry.  He went on to publish a variety of textbooks used by mathematicians to this day. He is most known for his work on a publication titled "The Elements" that feature ground-breaking content on algebra, number theories, and of course, geometry. It is said that this masterpiece was what earned him the title of "Father of Geometry" (<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Euclid">https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Euclid</a>).</p>

<h2>What is Euclidean geometry?</h2>
<p>Euclidean geometry is the branch of geometry that is focused on the study of 2-dimension solid geometry and planes. Some examples include basic facts such as the interior angles of triangles should equal to 180 degrees and that the shortest distance between point A and B is a straight line. Euclidean geometry was built on the basis of Euclid mathematical theories and postulates, most notably composed and synthesized in his publication "The Elements". In a broader sense, Euclidean geometry is also referred to the importance of utilizing cognitive abilities in Math. This encompasses the learner to defer techniques of memorization and formulas, and to rely on a strong, holistic understanding of the subject that allows application of skills and techniques to solve Math problems. <p>Students begin learning Geometry in 10th Grade. <p>- Hi and welcome to this question right here. We're trying to find the side lengths of the squares. So as you can see we&apos;ve got 1, 2, 3 different squares right here and with a right triangle in the middle. This square here we already know all the sides. It's 18, 18, 18, 18. Where as this one here is 24, 24, 24, 24. Now we're probably trying to figure out this one over here. If you can figure out this one then that means you figured out all the side length of this big rectangle...sorry, square. The only hint that we have is that this is a 90 degrees. So if you have a 90 degrees that means you can go ahead and use a Pythagoras which is C squared equals A squared plus the B squared and that's the formula you want to memorize. So what happened is the C is always the hypotenuse, the longest side of the right triangle. So we're going to call this one C right here. We don't know what the C is. We're going to square the whole thing to solve for C. Remember you had to square root both sides so they can solve the C. For A and B it's your choice. You can choose whatever you like. You get the 18 and 24. So A and B are just two lengths of that right triangle. So you can punch in 18 for the A and the 24 for the B. So what happens at the end, you go 18 square. We have 324 for this number and 24 squared for 576. And you square root the whole thing. Make sure you add them before you square, though. 324 plus 576. I got a 900. So to show you all the work. So square root of that we&apos;ve got ourselves just 30, okay? So that means this C over here, this hypotenuse of this triangle, is going to be a 30 centimeter and that is the side of this square over here and that's what they're looking for.
