Una fórmula que nos puede ser de utilidad cuando expresamos funciones como series de potencias es:
1−r1=∑n=0∞rn cuando sabemos que −1 < r < 1
Cuando encontramos el intervalo de convergencia no se necesitan checar los extremos, esto es porque la suma de la serie geométrica converge estrictamente sólo cuando −1 < r < 1, y no en r=1.
Si la función f(x) tiene radio de convergencia R, entonces la derivada y antiderivada de f(x) también tiene como radio de convergencia a R.
