WY Kindergarten Math Curriculum
Give your child a strong math foundation with lessons and practice problems built around what Wyoming Kindergarten classrooms teach, from counting and cardinality to early geometry.
About Kindergarten Wyoming math
Wyoming follows the Wyoming Standards for Mathematics, organizing Kindergarten content around counting and cardinality, operations and algebraic thinking, number and operations in base ten, measurement and data, and geometry. Students count to 100, compare groups of objects, add and subtract within 10, explore measurable attributes, and identify two- and three-dimensional shapes. StudyPug provides step-by-step lessons and practice problems for every one of these strands, so children can move at their own pace alongside their Wyoming classroom.
- Strands: counting and cardinality, operations and algebraic thinking, number and operations in base ten, measurement and data, and geometry
- Video lessons covering every Kindergarten Math topic in the Wyoming Standards
- Practice problems with instant feedback for each strand
- Alignment to Wyoming Standards for Mathematics so every lesson matches what is taught in class

Wyoming Kindergarten Math Topics
- Counting and Cardinality: Count to 100 by ones and tens, count forward from a given number, write numerals 0-20, connect counting to cardinality, and answer 'how many?' questions for up to 20 objects.
- Comparing Numbers: Identify whether one group of objects is greater than, less than, or equal to another, and compare two written numerals between 1 and 10.
- Operations and Algebraic Thinking: Represent addition and subtraction with objects, fingers, drawings, and equations; solve word problems; decompose numbers up to 10; find partners that make 10; and add and subtract fluently within 5.
- Number and Operations in Base Ten: Compose and decompose numbers 11 to 19 as ten ones and some further ones.
- Measurement and Data: Describe measurable attributes such as length and weight, directly compare two objects, and classify and count objects by category.
- Geometry: Name and describe shapes in the environment, identify flat and solid shapes, analyze similarities and differences between shapes, and compose simple shapes to form larger ones.
How StudyPug Helps Wyoming Kindergarten Math Students
When a young learner gets stuck on counting on from a given number or figuring out which group has more, StudyPug is there with short video lessons and kindergarten math help that walks through each idea one small step at a time. Every lesson matches the Wyoming Standards for Mathematics, so the approach your child sees on screen lines up with what their teacher is doing in class.
After watching a lesson, students can move straight into practice problems with instant feedback. If a problem causes trouble, a step-by-step solution explains exactly where to go next. Families preparing for the transition to first grade can also explore the WY Grade 1 math curriculum to see what skills come next.
Aligned to Wyoming Kindergarten Math Curriculum
Every StudyPug Kindergarten Math lesson is built around the Wyoming Standards for Mathematics. The strands covered - counting and cardinality, operations and algebraic thinking, number and operations in base ten, measurement and data, and geometry - reflect exactly what Wyoming schools teach at this grade level, so nothing in the course is off-topic or out of sequence. Families can also use the kindergarten math practice test to check which skills need more attention before moving on.
