Give your child the support they need to keep up with West Virginia's 5th grade math expectations, from fraction operations and decimal place value to coordinate planes and volume.
About 5th Grade West Virginia math
West Virginia follows the WV College Career Ready Standards for math, organizing 5th grade content into strands that include operations and algebraic thinking, number and operations in base ten, fractions, measurement and data, and geometry. Students work with numerical expressions, multi-digit multiplication, decimal operations to hundredths, fraction addition, subtraction, and multiplication, volume, coordinate planes, and classifying two-dimensional figures. StudyPug provides video lessons and practice problems covering every one of these strands.
- Strands: algebraic thinking, base ten operations, fractions, measurement and data, and geometry
- Video lessons for every 5th grade math topic in the WV CCR Standards
- Practice problems with instant feedback and step-by-step solutions

How StudyPug Helps WV 5th Grade Math Students
When a student gets stuck on a problem - whether it is multiplying mixed numbers or finding the volume of a rectangular prism - they can turn to grade 5 math help on StudyPug for a clear video lesson and worked examples that walk through the concept step by step. Every lesson is built around the WV College Career Ready Standards, so what students practice here matches exactly what their teacher is covering in class.
After watching a lesson, students can test their understanding right away with a grade 5 math practice test that gives instant feedback on every answer, helping them spot gaps and build confidence before the next quiz or the WV General Summative Assessment.
