About 5th Grade Wisconsin science

Wisconsin follows the Wisconsin Standards for Science, which are aligned with NGSS principles and organized around life science, physical science, earth and space science, and engineering. In 5th grade, students explore the digestive, circulatory, and respiratory systems, investigate solutions and chemical changes, study simple machines and force, examine rocks, minerals, and resources, and learn about the solar system and ecosystems. StudyPug provides video lessons and practice problems covering every one of these strands.

  • Strands: life science (body systems, ecosystems), physical science (forces, energy, simple machines), earth and space science (rocks, solar system), and engineering and technology
  • Video lessons taught step by step for every 5th grade Wisconsin science topic
  • Practice problems with instant feedback and worked solutions after every lesson
  • Fully aligned to the Wisconsin Standards for Science

How StudyPug Helps Wisconsin 5th Grade Science Students

When a concept like the circulatory system or chemical changes is hard to follow in class, StudyPug lets students go back to a clear video lesson at their own pace. Every topic comes with practice problems and step-by-step video solutions, so students know exactly where they went wrong and how to fix it. You can explore all available topics through our grade 5 science help course page.

StudyPug also tracks progress so parents can see which strands their child has worked through. Students moving into 6th grade can get a head start by checking out the WI grade 6 science curriculum, while those who need to revisit earlier concepts can review the WI grade 4 science curriculum.

Aligned to Wisconsin 5th Grade Science Curriculum

All StudyPug 5th grade science content is built around the Wisconsin Standards for Science. Every lesson and practice set maps to the strands Wisconsin schools teach in grade 5, so students are always working on material that matches what their teacher covers in class.
