Know the formulas for the area and circumference of a circle and use them to solve problems; give an informal derivation of the relationship between the circumference and area of a circle.

Statistics and Probability

7th graders learn how random samples are used to make inferences about populations, compare two data distributions, and use measures of center and variability. The probability strand introduces chance events, probability models, and compound events using lists, tables, tree diagrams, and simulation.
