About 8th Grade Washington science

Washington follows the Washington State K-12 Science Learning Standards, which are NGSS-adopted and organized around disciplinary core ideas, science and engineering practices, and crosscutting concepts. In 8th grade, students work across life science strands such as cell theory, cell structure, and disease; physical science strands covering atomic theory, elements, forces, and motion; and earth and space science strands including geology, resources, and the universe.
