- The Number System: Dividing fractions by fractions, fluently dividing multi-digit numbers, operating with multi-digit decimals, finding greatest common factors and least common multiples, and understanding positive and negative numbers, rational numbers, ordering, absolute value, and coordinate plane graphing.
- Expressions and Equations: Writing and evaluating numerical expressions with whole-number exponents, writing and evaluating algebraic expressions, applying properties of operations, identifying equivalent expressions, solving equations and inequalities, and analyzing dependent and independent variables.
- Geometry: Finding area of triangles, quadrilaterals, and polygons; finding volume of rectangular prisms with fractional edge lengths; drawing and measuring polygons in the coordinate plane; and finding surface area using nets.
- Statistics and Probability: Recognizing statistical questions, describing data distributions by center, spread, and shape, choosing measures of center and variation, and displaying data in dot plots, histograms, and box plots.
