- Operations and Algebraic Thinking: Adding and subtracting within 20 using mental strategies, solving one- and two-step word problems within 100, determining odd or even groups, and using addition to find totals in rectangular arrays.
- Number and Operations in Base Ten: Understanding three-digit place value with hundreds, tens, and ones; counting within 1000; skip-counting by 5s, 10s, and 100s; reading and writing numbers to 1000; comparing three-digit numbers; adding and subtracting within 100 and 1000; and mentally adding or subtracting 10 or 100.
- Measurement and Data: Measuring lengths with appropriate tools, estimating in inches, feet, centimeters, and meters, solving word problems involving lengths, telling time to the nearest five minutes, working with coins and dollar bills, and drawing picture graphs and bar graphs.
- Geometry: Recognizing and drawing shapes with specified attributes, partitioning rectangles into rows and columns of equal squares, and partitioning circles and rectangles into equal shares.
