- The Number System: Dividing fractions by fractions, multi-digit arithmetic, greatest common factor, least common multiple, and rational numbers including negative numbers and the coordinate plane.
- Expressions and Equations: Writing and evaluating numerical and algebraic expressions, applying properties of operations, solving equations of the form x + p = q and px = q, and working with inequalities and dependent and independent variables.
- Geometry: Finding areas of triangles, quadrilaterals, and polygons; volume of rectangular prisms with fractional edges; coordinate plane distances; and surface area using nets.
- Statistics and Probability: Recognizing statistical questions, describing data distributions by center and spread, and displaying data in dot plots, histograms, and box plots.
