MD Grade 7 Math Topics
- Ratios and Proportional Relationships: Computing unit rates with fractional ratios, recognizing and representing proportional relationships, and solving multistep ratio and percent problems.
- The Number System: Adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing rational numbers, including work on number lines and real-world problems involving all four operations.
- Expressions and Equations: Applying properties of operations to linear expressions with rational coefficients, rewriting expressions to reveal relationships, solving multi-step problems with rational numbers, and constructing simple equations and inequalities.
- Geometry: Scale drawings, constructing triangles from angle and side conditions, cross-sections of three-dimensional figures, circle area and circumference formulas, angle relationships, and area, volume, and surface area of composite figures.
- Statistics and Probability: Random sampling and population inference, comparing data distributions, measures of center and variability, probability models, and probabilities of compound events.
