- Counting and Cardinality: Count to 100 by ones and by tens, count forward from a given number, write numerals 0-20, understand the relationship between numbers and quantities, and answer 'how many?' questions about up to 20 objects.
- Comparing Numbers: Identify whether one group of objects is greater than, less than, or equal to another, and compare two written numerals between 1 and 10.
- Operations and Algebraic Thinking: Represent addition and subtraction with objects, fingers, drawings, and equations; solve word problems within 10; decompose numbers into pairs; find the number that makes 10; and fluently add and subtract within 5.
- Number and Operations in Base Ten: Compose and decompose numbers from 11 to 19 into ten ones and some further ones.
