Colorado follows the Colorado Academic Standards, organized around Number and Operations, Operations and Algebraic Thinking, Measurement and Data, and Geometry. In 5th grade, students work with place value and decimals to thousandths, add and subtract fractions with unlike denominators, multiply and divide fractions, measure volume, and graph points on a coordinate plane.
