Grade 5 English in Newfoundland and Labrador

Grade 5 English in Newfoundland and Labrador builds on the literacy foundations students developed in earlier grades. At this level, students are expected to read a wider range of texts, write for different audiences and purposes, communicate effectively in group settings, and begin thinking critically about media and language.
