Angle in Standard Position

What You'll Learn
An angle in standard position has its vertex at the origin and its initial side along the positive x-axis.
Counterclockwise rotation of the terminal side gives a positive angle, while clockwise rotation gives a negative angle.
The quadrant containing the terminal side (I, II, III, or IV) tells you which trig ratios are positive, which links directly to the ASTC rule.
Coterminal angles share the same terminal side and differ by a multiple of three hundred sixty degrees, or two pi radians.
Angles in standard position can be measured in degrees or radians, so converting between the two units is a key related skill.
