Who Are Your Family Members?

Your family can include many different people. A parent is a grown-up who takes care of you. A grandparent is your parent's mom or dad.

A sibling is your brother or sister. A guardian is a grown-up who keeps you safe and loved. Your caregiver is the person who looks after you at home.

Your aunt is your parent's sister. Your uncle is your parent's brother. Your cousins are the children of your aunt or uncle. All of these people can be part of your extended family!

Different Kinds of Families

Some families have one parent at home. This is called a single-parent family. Some families are made when two families join together. This is called a blended family.
