Grade 7 Math in Ontario

Grade 7 is a big year for math in Ontario. Students move from foundational arithmetic into more abstract thinking — working with integers, rational numbers, algebraic expressions, and proportional reasoning. The Ontario math curriculum for Grade 7 also introduces circle geometry, data management with circle graphs, probability involving dependent and independent events, and personal finance topics like interest rates and budgeting.

StudyPug covers every one of these topics with short video lessons and follow-up practice problems. Whether your child is struggling to keep up or wants to get ahead, there is a lesson ready for every unit.

How StudyPug Helps Grade 7 Students in Ontario

Every topic in the table above has a dedicated video lesson. Students watch the lesson, then complete practice problems that mirror what they see in class. If they get stuck, they can replay the explanation as many times as they need — no waiting for a teacher or tutor.

Parents can track progress and see which topics their child has covered. StudyPug works on any device, so homework help is always available, whether at home or on the go.

Preparing for Grade 8 and Beyond

The skills learned in Grade 7 math form the foundation for Grade 8 and eventually the Grade 9 EQAO math assessment. Building a strong understanding of fractions, algebra, and proportional reasoning now makes the transition to high school math much smoother. StudyPug helps students fill gaps early so they are not playing catch-up later.
