BC Grade 12 Math Curriculum
Give your child the support they need for Calculus 12. Our lessons cover every strand in the BC Curriculum, from limits and derivatives to integration, matching exactly what their class teaches.
About Grade 12 British Columbia math
British Columbia follows the BC Curriculum, organized around Big Ideas, Curricular Competencies, and Content. Calculus 12 builds on Pre-calculus 12 and moves through four main strands: functions and inverse trigonometric functions, limits and continuity, differentiation and its applications, and integration including the fundamental theorem of calculus. StudyPug provides video lessons and practice problems for every topic in each of these strands, aligned to what BC students are learning in class.
- Four strands: functions and inverse trig, limits and continuity, differentiation, and integration
- Video lessons for every Calculus 12 topic, from limit definitions to methods of integration
- Practice problems and step-by-step explanations for each concept and application
- Content aligned to the BC Curriculum so lessons match what your child's teacher assigns
Curriculum topics by strand
Find lessons and practice for every Calculus 12 strand, aligned to the BC Curriculum.
BC Grade 12 Math Topics
- Functions: Parent functions from Pre-calculus 12, piecewise functions, and inverse trigonometric functions that extend what students already know.
- Limits and Continuity: Left and right limits, limits to infinity, continuity, one-sided versus two-sided limits, end behaviour, and evaluation from tables, graphs, and algebraic methods.
- Differentiation: Definition of the derivative, notation, rate of change, differentiation rules, and applications of derivatives.
- Integration: Definition of an integral, notation, definite and indefinite integrals, approximations, the fundamental theorem of calculus, methods of integration, and applications.
How StudyPug Helps BC Grade 12 Math Students
When a student gets stuck on a differentiation rule or cannot follow a step in an integration method, they can open the relevant lesson, watch it again, and try the practice problems until the idea clicks. Every lesson is broken into small, focused pieces so a student can target the exact concept causing difficulty rather than sitting through material they already understand.
Parents can follow along too. Because the lessons are short and self-contained, it is easy to check what your child is working on and see where they need more support across any of the four Calculus 12 strands.
Aligned to BC Grade 12 Math Curriculum
All Calculus 12 content on StudyPug is built around the BC Curriculum's Big Ideas, Curricular Competencies, and Content for Grade 12. That means the sequence of topics - from functions and limits through to integration and its applications - follows the same order and emphasis that British Columbia teachers use, so students are always working on material that is relevant to their current unit.
