Master the Art of Listening and Asking Great Questions
You will practice listening carefully to others and asking good questions to learn more about what they are saying.
What Does It Mean to Listen Attentively?
When you listen attentively, you use your ears and eyes to focus on the speaker. You look at the person talking and keep your body still. You think about what they are saying instead of other things around you.
Good listeners show they care by looking at the speaker. This is called eye contact. You also wait your turn to speak and stay quiet while others talk.
How to Ask Good Questions
Asking questions helps you learn more about what you hear. You can use special question words like "what," "where," and "when" to ask different things.
When you hear something new or interesting, raise your hand and ask a question. This shows you are listening and want to learn more. Questions help you understand stories, lessons, and new information better.
