What is the prerequisite of this AP stats course?

As AP Statistics is the equivalent of a one-semester introductory college statistics course, it is advised that you should take College Algebra before enrolling in this course.

How should I start my AP Stats review?

You can first test yourself with this sample past AP Statistics free response questions and AP Statistics multiple choice questions here to see which areas and topics you need to focus more on. Then, watch our video lessons and work on the practice questions for review and better understanding.

What should I expect on the AP Statistics exam?

You will be tested on four main areas in stats: Exploring Data (20% to 30%), Sampling and Experimentation (10% to 15%), Anticipating patterns (20% to 30%), and Statistical inference (30% to 40%). The exam will be three hours long and divided into two sections. Section 1 contains 40 multiple-choice questions and is worth 50% of the exam score. You will be given one hour and thirty minutes to complete this section. In section 2, there are six questions in total – five short-answer questions and one investigate task. Section 2 is also worth 50% of the exam score and you will have one and a half hour to finish it.
