Introduction

You can be a leader! A leader is someone who helps others and solves problems. You will learn how to be a good leader in your classroom, on the playground, and in your community. Leaders help friends work together and make sure everyone feels included.

What Makes a Good Leader

Good leaders help others when there are problems. You can be a leader by helping friends share toys or organizing games at recess. Leaders also listen to others and include everyone in activities.

When you see someone who needs help, you can show leadership by offering to help them. Leaders are kind and think about how to make things better for everyone around them.

Ways You Can Be a Leader

You can show leadership in many ways every day. When friends are arguing, you can help them solve the problem by suggesting they take turns. You can organize activities like cleaning up the classroom or feeding the class pet.

Leaders also help new students feel welcome by including them in games and showing them around school. You can be a leader by sharing your supplies and helping classmates who are confused about what to do.

Look for ways to include others who might feel left out. You can invite someone new to join your group or help a classmate who seems confused about directions.
